Course Reserved

The library will provide “Course Reserved Services” in compliance with teachers’ requests to provide Course materials in our library catalog. The service provides centralized book collection, recall and rush cataloging.

  1. How to Apply
    1. Please refer to our “Catalog Search” system to check whether the requested material is in our catalog, and specify the material in the “Course Reserve Application Form”
    2. If the requested material is not in our catalog, we will purchase and process your application as soon as possible.
    3. Fill out the form:
      1. All department teachers can fill out the “Course Reserved Application Form” and send it back to us online.
      2. Download the “Course Reserved Application Form”.
  2. Course Reserved processing:
    1. Upon receiving all “Course Reserved Application Form” from all departments, the contractor will begin to audit and review library catalog for all materials (available, on loan or missing etc.).
      1. Materials that are available or on loan will be recalled and collected for process.
      2. All materials missing or not in our catalog, the Acquisition and Cataloging Section will begin to purchase and fasten the progress of Reserved the requested materials.
      3. Once all materials have been collected, the contractor will begin to set archives and book processing according to course starting date.
      4. Books will be on shelves and are available
  3. Course reserved reading policies
    1. All course reserved materials will be shelved on “course Reserved shelf” in 「Learning Commons」at Library 2F.
    2. All materials can only be read in the library and not available for loans.
    3. Please put back on the shelf or have counter staffs return for you after reading.
    4. Library catalog compensation policies will be applied to all lost or damaged course Reserved materials.
  4. Notes
    1. All library periodicals and special reference materials (encyclopedia, dictionaries, thesis papers, yearbooks etc.) are not available as course reserves.
    2. Teachers can have their personal lecture notes assigned as course reserve materials. Please have them sent via official school document to Reference & Extension Services Section, and specify the course name, teacher’s name, academic department, e-mail and phone number.
